An attorney in New York City, Han-Hsien Tuan is the managing partner at Tuan Olona, LLP. In his free time, Han-Hsien Tuan contributes to St. Bartholomew’s Church (St. Bart’s), which offers its members several opportunities to volunteer in the community, including the following:
- Altar Guild. St. Bart’s is looking for volunteers to prepare the altars for the Holy Eucharist. Volunteers prepare the linens, liturgical vessels, bread, and wine not only on Sundays but also on other days when the Holy Eucharist is celebrated.
- St. Bart’s Flower Guild. Members can contribute to the beauty of the church and chapel by arranging flowers or moving ferns into the church.
- Ushers and greeters. St. Bart’s relies on the assistance of volunteers to greet congregants and help them find seats. Ushers also pass collection plates and direct congregants to communion stations.
- Crossroads Community Services. Volunteers can serve at the church’s Soup Kitchen or overnight Shelter, which are part of its Crossroads Community Services ministry. The church needs cooks and servers at the Soup Kitchen and overnight hosts at the Shelter.
